Porcelain and Ceramic Dental Implants in Miami, Florida

Dental implants are posts (titanium screws) which are surgically placed within the jawbone. By using a process of osseointegration, the titanium screws fuse with the bone to providing a firm and stable base for a post which will support a crown or bridge. At Miami Cosmetic Dentistry Dental implants are a specialty of ours and our in house lab is state of the art.

Types of dental implants
Dental implants are categorized into 3 groups, contingent on the number of teeth they are used to replace; Single tooth implants, multiple adjacent teeth, or replacing a full jaw line or “arch” of full dentition.

Single-tooth implant

This is often times recommended for people missing a front tooth, the titanium implant will support one crown. The bone is stimulated and the root of the tooth is replaced.
A single tooth implant is a superior choice than a bridge as it is does not disturb neighboring teeth, the implant stands separate from other teeth. The end result is a fully functional set of teeth that look natural and can last a long time.

Multiple dental implants

An implant-supported bridge is the go to solution when a patient is missing multiple adjacent teeth. This way doesn’t cause any unnecessary damage to healthy neighboring teeth.
A minimum of two rods will be needed to support the bridge, but it varies from case to case depending on the location and number of teeth that are to be replaced.

Full-mouth dental implants

In this procedure, all teeth in the jaw are replaced to giving the patient a fully restored smile. Full mouth dental implants can be permanent or removable and that is a choice left to the patient. Permanent implants can be mounted on 4 implants. The removable option can be done only using 2 implants.
Full mouth implants give the cosmetic dentist full control over the definition and the look of your teeth. You are essentially getting a brand new smile that fit your facial features and jawline.
